Privacy Policy — Sage

Sage ("we", "our", or "the app") is a migraine-tracking app. This policy explains what information Sage collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain and honest.

The short version

Your migraine logs, medications, triggers, and hydration data are stored only on your device. We do not upload them to any server.
An account is optional and used only to sign you in. You can also use the app as a guest with no account at all.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Information we collect

Account information. If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address (for email/password accounts) or the identifier provided by Apple or Google when you use their sign-in. This is used only to authenticate you. If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your real email; we receive only Apple's private relay address. Authentication is handled by our provider, Supabase.

Health and wellness data you enter. Migraine events (timing, pain level, location, symptoms, notes), medications and medication logs, triggers, and hydration entries. This data is stored only on your device — it is never uploaded to us or any third party. You enter it yourself; the app does not read it from anywhere else.

Device & technical data. Basic technical information needed to run the app (e.g., crash and error diagnostics). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

How we use your information

To provide the core features of the app: tracking, reports, and reminders (all processed on your device).
To sign you in, if you choose to create an account.
To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

How your information is shared

We share information only with service providers that make the app work:

Supabase — authentication only (storing your sign-in identity). Your health data is never sent to Supabase.
Apple / Google — only if you choose to sign in with them.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Not medical advice

Sage is a wellness and tracking tool, not a medical professional. It does not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical decisions.

Data retention and deletion

Your tracked data lives only on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Account: if you created one, you can request deletion of your account (your sign-in identity) at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will delete it within 30 days.

Your choices

Use the app as a guest to skip having an account entirely.
Request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Children

Sage is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Security

Your tracked data stays on your device. Account sign-in happens over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and your sign-in identity is stored with our authentication provider under their security controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
